Early Bird Bargains for Freestyle Fans

Every winter in December Val Thorens hosts Ski/Boarder Week, a major freestyle and music festival. The 2008 festival, which will be held between 13th and 20th December, promises to be the best yet. The action packed week will feature top level freestyle skiing and boarding competitions, demos from the pros, free equipment tests and live music on the slopes and in the bars.

If you are a freestyle fanatic but you can’t make Ski/Boarder Week you might want to check out VT’s new and improved park at some point this winter. After a successful first winter of operation the park is undergoing a massive 18,000m² expansion. Over 300,000 euros are being invested in improving all elements of the park. Brand new features include a huge 500 metre long hand rail and something called the Jump’Air – a big air with a shock-absorbing stuntman’s mattress for landing new tricks in relative safety. And the park will be more accessible thanks to the installation of a second drag lift.
