Ski Holiday in Meribel up for Grabs
Calling all ex-chalet girls and boys – use your cooking know-how to land yourself a free ski holiday in Meribel this winter. Welove2ski, a great online resource for winter sports lovers, has just launched a culinary competition to find the best original recipe for an uncomplicated, hearty mountain meal.

We’re not talking Master Chef, all you have to do to be in with a shot of winning that awesome prize is jot down your favourite recipe for a main course that would satisfy the most ravenous skier after a day on the slopes. The dish should be composed of ingredients that are readily available from your average Alpine supermarket and should require no more than two hours kitchen time.
The competition will be judged by Holly Fisher and Philippa Eyles of Fish and Pips, an expanding chalet company based in Meribel with an outstanding reputation for its food. The quality of cuisine on Fish and Pips chalet holidays has made such an impression on guests that popular demand led Holly and Philippa to write their own cookery book. The book which will be available in November includes original recipes for Asian pork belly with sticky rice, and herb and brioche-crusted rack of lamb. Suffice to say the judges won’t be impressed by quick-cook pasta in ketchup, but if you have a bit of culinary flair it could be you jetting off to Meribel in January.
The prize includes return flights from Stansted to Chambéry courtesy of Snowjet, 7 nights accommodation in one of Fish & Pips gourmet catered chalets and a 6 day lift pass for the massive Three Valleys ski area.
